Welcome to the website of the Airborne Committee Eerde.

On September 17th 1944, the 501Parachute Infantry Regiment of the American 101st Airborne Division landed in the fields near the village of Eerde, in the south of the Netherlands.
The 501 Parachute Infantry Regiment participated in Operation "Market Garden" and liberated our village. More than 60 years after this event the people are still thankful to their liberators. Many liberators have returned to Eerde in the past years to visit friends and to commemorate their comrades at the monument near the windmill.

This website is designed to inform veterans of the 101st Airborne Division especially the Geronimo's and others who are interested, about how the people of Eerde keep the memory of 1944 alive.
